It’s all fun and games (and experiences) for Tony Driscoll.

Driscoll, who headed up Paramount Games Studio, has been named Skydance‘s president of games and experiences. He’ll inherit the well-established WB Games (the Mortal Kombat and Batman series, Hogwart’s Legacy) into his portfolio; the relatively new Paramount Games Studio was itself a combination of Paramount’s gaming assets and Skydance’s.

In terms of experiences, Warner Bros. mostly licensed its IP out for rides — there are some rides in its owned and operated retail stores and WB owned (now Skydance owns) its studio tours — while Paramount’s Nickelodeon licensed its name and IP for a pair of parks inside malls (the American Dream Mall in New Jersey and The Mall of America in Minneapolis).

In addition, Skydance president Andy Gordon has named Josh Silverman president of global products and publishing. Josh Silverman is not to be confused with Jeff Silberman, Gordon’s chief of staff and executive vice president of corporate strategy.

“We’re investing in our future growth engines alongside our core ambitions in TV, Film and direct-to-consumer: Games, Experiences, Consumer Products, and Publishing,” Gordon informed staff via an email obtained by The Hollywood Reporter. “These are core pillars of our strategy to build engagement and fandom in both the physical and digital worlds. We want to meet consumers where they watch, play, and engage. At the same time, we see opportunities to build on DC Comics’ storytelling and expand our e-commerce offerings to connect fans with the brands they love.”

In his memo, Gordon also reemphasized Jim Sterner as head of HR (and “chief people officer”) and Jose Turkienicz as president of global operations (including real estate, procurement and studio operations).

Driscoll sent a separate email to employees yesterday; THR obtained that one as well.

“We immerse our guests in theme parks, resorts, restaurants, retail, studio tours and more. We immerse our players in action, adventure, combat, competition and creativity, from Batman to SpongeBob,” Driscoll wrote. “And no matter your role on this team, you are a creator, builder, operator, and steward of those worlds. We have the opportunity to create amazing spaces where friendships are formed and communities grow. That is only possible because of your hard work and talent. Whether it’s on Zoom or in person, my first priority in the coming weeks is meeting as many of you as I can from LA to London, Montreal to Tokyo, and beyond.”
