Three girls caught fighting in viral social media video in Kuala Pilah

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 4 — Police are investigating a fight involving three teenage girls that went viral on social media after the incident at Dataran Melang in Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan.

According to Kosmo! Online, Kuala Pilah district police chief Superintendent Muhamad Mustafah Hussin said the incident involved a 15-year-old schoolgirl who went to the location with her brother to meet two acquaintances over a misunderstanding linked to the circulation of her photograph on social media.

“During the meeting, a scuffle broke out between the complainant and the two individuals, causing the teenager to suffer injuries before she returned home with her family,” he said when contacted.

Muhamad Mustafah said the girl and her father later went to the home of one of the individuals yesterday to discuss the matter before lodging a police report.

“Police view the incident seriously and investigations are under way to identify the actual cause of the fight and those involved,” he said.

A video of the incident had earlier gone viral on social media, showing the girls pulling at each other and kicking during the fight.
