Have you ever been to a wedding where you knew the marriage wasn't going to last?
Hopefully, it wasn't your own. Weddings are interesting events. They're expensive and time-consuming, and you don't always want to be there. Sometimes you're only there out of obligation. But you're also probably excited to see what goes down. Weddings are a bit like theater. There's a stage, there are costumes, and there are certain lines you're supposed to say. If any of these go wrong, then you're probably leaning in to see what happened. Weddings are great for people who enjoy a little real-life drama. There's always something, even at the chillest of weddings. Someone is mad that they weren't invited and has spies on the inside. Someone is wearing white, and they're not the bride. Someone is dancing with someone they aren't supposed to. It's fun to watch this all go down.
Even more fun than that, though, is watching it go down when it's someone else's problem. They're not your friends or family, so you don't have to deal with the emotional fallout. That's why we love shows like "Love is Blind" so much, because they culminate in a wedding scene, and it often goes wrong. Someone ends up crying, someone ends up hurt, and someone ends up running in heels. We would hate to be a part of it if it were us or any of our loved ones, but since it's not, we're free to enjoy every last drop of it.
