Stephen Kalyn Joins ‘Housemaid’s Secret’ Cast After ‘Off Campus’ Fame

After rocketing to fame with his breakout role in “Off Campus,” Stephen Kalyn has joined the cast of Lionsgate’s “The Housemaid’s Secret.”

Kalyn joins the previously announced ensemble of Sydney Sweeney, Kristen Dunst, Michele Morrone and Paul Anthony Kelly for the film, which is the follow-up to 2025’s box office hit “The Housemaid.”

Based on Freida McFadden’s bestselling novel, the sequel picks up as Sweeney’s Millie — who was hired in the initial story as the live-in maid for a wealthy family with a dark secret — takes a job “keeping house for a woman she’s never allowed to see — only to discover the truth behind the locked door that threatens to expose secrets far darker than her own.” Dunst will play the mysterious Mrs. Garrick with Kelly as Douglas Garrick. Snow will also star as Marybeth, an unassuming receptionist at the Mr. Garricks’ company, while Michele Morrone returns as Enzo, reprising his role from the first film.

Kalyn, whose resume also includes roles on “Gen V,” “Cruel Intentions,” and “Motorheads,” will play Brock, Millie’s lawyer boyfriend who knows nothing about her criminal past. The project marks a major booking for Kalyn, who is already set to take center ice for Season 2 of “Off Campus” as his Dean Di Laurentis and Allie Hayes (played by Mika Abdalla) become the college soap’s central couple.

“The Housemaid’s Secret” will start production later this year and is set to open in theaters on Dec. 17, 2027. Paul Feig returns to direct alongside screenwriter Rebecca Sonnenshine, who adapted the first book. Feig is also producing with Todd Lieberman of Hidden Pictures, Laura Fischer of Pretty Dangerous and Sweeney through her Honey Trap banner.

Carly Elter, who oversaw the first movie for Hidden Pictures, is returning as executive producer, alongside Alex Young of Hidden Pictures. Honey Trap’s Kaylee McGregor will co-produce. Chelsea Kujawa and Maria Ascanio are overseeing the film for Lionsgate. Robert Melnik negotiated the deal for McFadden’s “Housemaid’s” novels — Lionsgate optioned the trilogy, plus a fourth entry, a short story — on behalf of the studio.
