Serian IPD posts unhealthy API 151 at 9am, 63 areas record moderate readings

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 26 — The Serian District Police Headquarters (IPD) in Sarawak recorded an unhealthy Air Pollutant Index (API) reading of 151 as of 9am today.

According to the Malaysian Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS) portal, 63 other areas nationwide logged moderate readings.

They included Sri Aman, Sarawak (98); Batu Pahat, Johor (81); Cheras, Kuala Lumpur (69); Klang, Selangor (62); and Kimanis, Sabah (56).

Only three areas recorded good air quality: Tanah Merah, Kelantan (47); Langkawi, Kedah (46); and Besut, Terengganu (43).

An API reading of 0 to 50 indicates good air quality, 51 to 100 moderate, 101 to 200 unhealthy, 201 to 300 very unhealthy, and anything above 300 hazardous. — Bernama
