What is especially annoying is that anybody who displays a level of entitlement like this is often pretty difficult to reason with on the issue, let alone work with in the professional sense. They either do not see anything wrong with what they are doing or do not care enough about the feelings of others to stop. With this kind of attitude, it almost seems a miracle that they got employed in the first place, but they seem to be in workplaces across the land nonetheless. The lengths that they will go to with their behaviors can verge on the ridiculous, and at their worst, it can make an otherwise normal workday genuinely difficult to deal with. They are not the kind of person you want to be sat next to in the office.

In this story, an employee was baffled by the entitled behavior of their coworker, who had only been in the job for three months. She had a habit of putting her name on all kinds of things in the office, despite the fact that they were company property and meant to be shared among everyone.

The issue had gotten to the point where she would take things from other people while they were still using them, as she designated them as personal property. Despite the employee speaking to multiple managers about this, nothing had been done to address the behavior.
