Mark Harmon and Michael Weatherly will be back on screen together for the first time in a decade.
The duo will reunite for an episode for NCIS: Origins.
The reunion finds Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Harmon) returning to NCIS’ D.C. headquarters to enlist the help of new director Tony DiNozzo (Weatherly) after Gibbs was shot by unknown assailants in the Origins season premiere on Oct. 6.
The reunion episode will air Tuesday, Oct. 20 on CBS and stream on Paramount+.
Harmon — who also serves as executive producer on the series — appears in all episodes of Origins season three as part of a present-day mystery tied to his ‘90s Camp Pendleton days. Meanwhile, Weatherly returned as DiNozzo on the NCIS flagship series beginning with the show’s season 24 premiere on Oct. 6.
The third season premiere of Origins was the top broadcast show in its timeslot, averaging 4.4 million viewers, up 20 percent from last year.
Origins is a prequel series following a young Gibbs (Austin Stowell) in the early ‘90s, years prior to the events of NCIS, and is narrated by Harmon. The show also stars Kyle Schmid, Mariel Molino, Tyla Abercrumbie, Diany Rodriguez and Caleb Foote.
