Peacock‘s hit cultural phenomenon Love Island USA has been renewed for season nine, with Emmy nominee Ariana Madix returning as host.
The renewal comes ahead of the highly anticipated season eight reunion, which premieres on Monday at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET. Season nine of the reality dating show will premiere in 2027, as well as the previously announced third seasons of Love Island: Beyond the Villa and Love Island Games.
This will mark Madix’s fourth season hosting Love Island USA. The Vanderpump Rules alum also earned her first Emmy nomination last month for best host for a reality or reality competition program.
When The Hollywood Reporter caught up with Madix earlier this year, she praised the Peacock series for being “able to carve out a unique place” within the Love Island franchise and reviving appointment television.
“It’s an absolute star maker,” Madix added of the reality show. “I’m so happy and excited that Love Island USA is starting to get its flowers because the absolute feat that it is to create and make the show and put the show out and have it be as good and incredible as it is, it’s really insane. And I don’t think any other show is doing what we do.”
On Wednesday, Peacock also dropped a teaser for the season eight reunion (below), which was filmed in front of a live audience earlier this month. The reunion sees season eight winners (Trinity and Bryce), fan-favorite couples and bombshells reunite to unpack some of the season’s biggest and drama-filled moments.
Love Island USA is produced by ITV America, in association with Lifted Entertainment and Motion Entertainment, a WPP Media Company and distributed by ITV Studios. David George, Adam Sher, Jordana Hochman, Bernie Schaeffer, Ben Thursby-Palmer, James Barker, Blake Garrett, Courtney Rosenthal, Sophie Brown, Jessica Castro, Richard Cowles, Mike Spencer, Tom Gould, Chet Fenster and Martin Oxley serve as executive producers.
