Anyone who has attempted to get a job in this section of the 21st century knows that most of the time, this is so far out of the realm of possibility that it is not a wise idea to even fantasize about it. The working world still places a lot of importance on who you know, but nowadays, that is shrouded in layers of LinkedIn corporate speak and ghost job vacancies that only serve to make companies look more successful than they actually are.

Both official opinions and those who are experiencing it can attest that the job market of 2026 is a tough one. It feels like the world of work is in this strange limbo state where it is almost, but not quite, ready to transition into something different. Even if that something ends up being better, it messes with the livelihoods of many in the meantime. We live in a society where earning a living is a requirement for the majority, and not being able to do that causes serious problems.
