Kelana Jaya line operations back on track after morning signal fault

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 15 — Rapid KL’s Kelana Jaya Line, which was disrupted by a signalling fault this morning, has returned to normal operations and is running according to schedule.

Rapid KL, in a statement today, said that the disruption, detected at 9.14 am at Ampang Park Station, caused a train to stop with its doors not aligned with the platform screen doors, affecting the smooth movement of passengers.

Following the incident, its operations and technical teams took immediate action to restore the affected system and conducted continuous monitoring to ensure operations returned to normal as soon as possible.

“Following the action taken, operations on the Kelana Jaya Line have returned to normal, and all trains are operating according to schedule,” it said.

The company is now closely monitoring the signalling system involved to ensure the service continues to operate smoothly and at an optimal level.

Rapid KL also apologised for any inconvenience caused to passengers by the incident. — Bernama
