The one thing that job seekers should be able to expect from the companies they apply to is a degree of honesty when they talk about how much they might get paid. Unfortunately, that cannot always be guaranteed.
One woman was left with a dilemma after she landed a phone interview for a role that had been advertised with a $70k salary. However, during the call, the interviewer revealed that they were actually going to pay $28 an hour. This meant that the job would pay significantly less per year.
While she was invited back for a second interview, the applicant was left with a dilemma. She had been hoping for the higher salary, and she didn't know why they had changed it.
