Hollywood parents clash over daughter's decision to enter industry

William H. Macy, a star well-known for several hit films and shows, is over the moon that his daughter Sophia Macy is entering Hollywood.

However, his wife, Felicity Huffman, an actor herself, is not.

In an interview with People, the actress, best known for Desperate Housewives, says, “My husband has no trepidation about it."

“He's like, ‘I love this business. I love actors. I love everybody in it.'”

However, Felicity has other worries.

“I do have fear for her,” she shares, adding, “It is a tough business."

Nonetheless, the actress believes her daughter has the talent to shine in the demanding industry.

"But it's what she loves, and I gotta say she's really good.”

Further, in jest, Felicity adds she has no idea whether she would share a screen with Sophia.

“I don't know. Depends on whether she puts us in her next project,” she joked.

Sophia, a graduate of Carnegie Mellon theatre, has previously starred in The Twilight Zone and Rooster.

At the time, when the actress made her debut in 2020's CBS show, she made a post on social media.

"I'm so so grateful," she wrote while in a separate post, Sophia added, Me and Abbie were directed by the incredible Tayarisha Poe in EP 5 “Among The Untrodden”. All episodes of the Twilight Zone season 2 are streaming now on CBS All Access."
