GEORGE TOWN, Sept 14 — Three heritage sites in Penang will offer free entry for two days from tomorrow in conjunction with the fifth anniversary of Penang Hill’s recognition as a Unesco Biosphere Reserve and Malaysia Day.

State Tourism and Creative Economy Committee chairman Wong Hon Wai said the three sites are the Penang State Automotive Gallery, Fort Cornwallis and the Penang State Museum.

“The public and tourists from Malaysia and abroad, are welcome to take this opportunity to explore history, appreciate the state’s heritage, gain a deeper understanding of Penang’s past and discover Malaysia’s rich and diverse cultural heritage,” he said in a statement today.

He said free admission to the Automotive Gallery and Fort Cornwallis had also been extended until October, giving the public more time to visit the two sites. — Bernama
