EC: 43,309 new voters added in August — check the electoral roll by October 24

PUTRAJAYA, Sept 25 — The Supplementary Electoral Roll for August 2026 (DPT BLN8/2026) is open for review for 30 days until Oct 24, said Election Commission (EC) secretary Datuk Khairul Shahril Idrus.

He said DPT BLN8/2026, which was gazetted yesterday, contains the names of 43,309 citizens aged 18 and above during the period from Aug 1 to 31, 2026, who were automatically registered as new electors.

Khairul Shahril said it also includes 34,411registered voters who have changed their electoral constituencies and 2,728 voters who have changed their voter category or status. 

He urged voters in the relevant categories to check their names in the DPT BLN8/2026.

“Checks can be made via the EC portal at https://www.spr.gov.my or https://mysprsemak.spr.gov.my, the official state election office portal at http://ppn.spr.gov.my, the online application at https://myspr.spr.gov.my, the MySPR Semak mobile application, or the Voter Registration Check hotline at 03-8892 7218,” he said in a statement today.

Khairul Shahril said those who find that their names are not listed in the DPT BLN8/2026 may submit a claim by completing Form C through the online application at https://myspr.spr.gov.my or by visiting the relevant State Election Office.

Any registered voter in an electoral constituency who, after checking the roll, wishes to object to the inclusion of the name of a voter who has transferred into the constituency may do so by completing Form D through the same channels.

Forms C and D can also be downloaded from the State Election Office portal at http://ppn.spr.gov.my and submitted to the relevant state election director, together with the objection fee, during office hours throughout the DPT BLN8/2026 review period. — Bernama
