I’m asked all too often if investing in a Dyson is worth it. As WIRED’s resident vacuum tester, I’ve tried every recent Dyson vacuum—from the newest, most powerful model to the long-favored V15 Detect—and I have a lot of thoughts on which ones are worth it, and at what price.

You can often find some kind of Dyson vacuum on sale, though the best time is to wait for an event like Black Friday. While that’s only a few weeks away, a few Dyson vacuums are already on sale. If you’re looking to pick up a new vacuum, here are the best Dyson deals I’ve spotted this week.

Best Dyson Vacuum Deals Right Now

The Best Dyson Robot Vacuum Deal Right Now

The Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai came out earlier this year but has already been surpassed as Dyson’s top-of-the-line robot vacuum. But I prefer it to the newer Dyson R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV I’m currently testing because it’s usually on sale, and the newest model hasn’t blown me away as a better investment. The Spot+Scrub Ai claims to use artificial intelligence to spot places on your floor it needs to scrub, but I didn’t find it obvious whether that was actually working. Still, overall it did a good job, especially for Dyson’s first foray into robot vacuums that also mop. It’s often discounted around this price, but the $400-off sale is a little better than what we saw during Prime Day.

Also on sale: The Dyson R1 Nurovi Dry ($450, usually $550), one of Dyson’s three new robot vacuums it announced this fall, is $100 off. I haven’t tested it, so I can’t say whether it’s worth buying. I’m currently testing the Dyson R3 Nurovi ($1,200), and I’m not super impressed with its vacuuming—I’ve found rice and popcorn left behind on rugs and hard floors—so I’m hesitant to expect the R1 to be better.

The Best Dyson Stick Vacuum Deal Right Now

If you’re going to buy a Dyson vacuum on sale, you might as well go for one of the better ones. The V16 Piston Animal is Dyson’s most powerful stick vacuum, with 315 air watts of power, some nice quality-of-life improvements in the body design, and an option to add the Submarine 2.0 mop head. I really liked this vacuum for the design upgrades and power level, but the price tag can be hard to stomach. It’s on sale fairly regularly, and there are a few different on-sale combos: the base vacuum is $180 off, bundling it with the Submarine head is $200 off, and the option with the charging Floor Dok is also $200 off. I love the Submarine head, but while I haven’t tested the vacuum with the Floor Dok yet, it’s the accessory I want most—having your cordless vacuum fully charged whenever you want it, and somewhere to store it, is really handy.
