Anwar tells PKR to close ranks, gear up for GE16

KOTA KINABALU, Sept 11 — PKR must continue to strengthen the administration of the Federal and State Governments to ensure that implemented policies provide tangible benefits to the people, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Anwar, who is also the PKR president, said the party must also move with the strength of all its members, close ranks, and embrace the support of all layers of society so that PKR remains close to the pulse and aspirations of the people.

He also stressed that Sabah PKR will continue to be a major force carrying the voice of the people and succeeding in the agenda of change and reform in the country.

“At the same time, the preparation of the machinery to face the upcoming General Election must be streamlined from now on with unity and clear determination,” he said in a post on his Facebook page last night.

Earlier, he held a brief meeting with the Sabah PKR State Leadership Council here to discuss various current issues and the importance of the welfare of the people in the state. — Bernama
