Everybody can be an entertainer if they want to be now, because all it takes is opening up some social media app or meme-sharing site and giving the world whatever it is that is on your mind. It can be a very cathartic form of self-expression, and sometimes it is almost artistic. A meme can be appreciated on many levels if you are open to it, and it only makes an already freeing experience even richer.

It is not like we are obliged to get all high-brow with it every time, though. In fact, we usually want to do the opposite when we are seeking out the land of memes and its promises of ridiculous amusement. They are here to distract us, and maybe rethink some of the current events and trends in ways more lighthearted than we are used to seeing them. There are plenty of purposes to memes, but primarily, they offer a constant churn of stupid entertainment. That is just the way we like it.
