Normally, teenagers are dirtbags, but these kids proved otherwise.
Oftentimes marked by their angst and jeering at the younger kids, teenagers reject the family structure to set out on their own independence. But deep down, every teenager is just a kid chomping at the bit to play make-believe, swing on the swingset, and have a tea party with their teddy bears. Nobody ever truly grows out of a game of make-believe, and what's so inspiring about this story is that the kids didn't feel like they were trying to act older or be “cool” in front of their friends.
They just wanted to play, too.
Everyone needs a little bit of magic in their lives, whether real or imaginary. Sometimes that magic comes in the form of a kind gesture or a smile from a stranger, and in the case of this mom and her daughter, it came in the form of real-world spells that would always remind a kid of her strength, courage, and cleverness, as she vanquished imaginary foes just like Harry Potter would've.
Play on, people, because when the world gets too serious, sometimes we all could use a little make-believe.
